Will an eSIM work on my phone?
It needs a phone that supports eSIM and is not locked to a network. Installing in one tap needs iOS 17.4 or Android 10 or newer; on an older phone we show you a code to enter in your mobile data settings instead. Check this before you buy, because a plan cannot be refunded once it has been installed.
It depends on the plan: some count their days from when the eSIM first connects to a network, others from when you install it. Either way the days then run without pausing until they end, and installing ends the option to hand the eSIM back, so install it close to when you travel.
Open it under eSIM in the menu and tap Install, while you still have a connection. Keep your current SIM in place: the eSIM carries data only, and your number, calls and texts stay on it. If your phone cannot install from a link, use the QR code or the activation code on the same page.
The eSIM page shows it. The provider counts a few hours behind, so the figure can trail what you have actually used. A plan with a daily allowance has no running total to show: you get a fresh allowance each day, and once a day’s is spent the speed drops or data stops until the next day.
Can I get a refund, or buy more data?
You can hand an eSIM back for a full refund at any time before it is installed. Once it is installed that option ends and any refund is the provider’s to decide. Where a plan allows it you can top it up from the same page; on a day pass a top-up adds days only, not data.
